Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point

Last weekend we went to Thanksgiving Point for the Tulip Festival. Last year I had wanted to go and didn't get the chance. We were lucky this year because our Spring Break fell right when the Tulip Festival was going. Once again, Madi decided to be stubborn and not want to cooperate. Kayli wasnt't with us because she was at Morp.

Madi wanted to take pictures too. I think the camera is nearly has big as she is. Her poor little hands could barely hold it up and push the button for the picture. The few pictures that she took actually turned out pretty good.

Avery was soo upset. We had forgotten the stroller and she was actually really happy to be running all over the place. Not wanting her to pose for some pictures was another thing.
I finally got a good picture of Lauren and Madi (Madi is actually smiling). Maybe they were smiling a sigh of relief because they knew we were done and on our way to Discovery Gateway where we stayed until 8:00. After that we went to our traditional dining experience at the Spaghetti Factory. The day was long and fun. We will need to do it again next year.

Catching Up

As you can tell, it has been a while since we have had the internet at our house. I have been taking my laptop and going on the web in the Peak's parking lot for over a month. So it is time to catch up. Cheer try-outs were a little tramatic this year. Last year Kayli tried out and never had to go back for call backs - this year was different, she went to call-backs. She texted me like crazy, all worried that she wasn't going to make it. All of the worrying was for nothing. She made it back on the squad as you heard on my previous blog. Last year, she was told to be picked up at Arby's. This year she had to go to Kent's and sit in the tiolet paper isle. Brady was with us when we opened her congratulations letter. We met his mom at Kent's (yes, I forgot my camera!) Here are a few of the pictures she took. I love Brady - he makes me laugh! Check him out in these pictures.

Prom 2010

Brady asked Kayli to go to his Junior Prom. Boy was it an eye opener to see how much a dress costs. We looked for several days. She fell in love with an orange one that looked just amazing on her. She fell in love with the dress but mom had a MAJOR stroke with the price. $300 Ouch! She was able to convince her dad to come look at possible dresses and nearly left one store in tears - until we decided to look at price tags then dresses (wish we would have done that first) She found a beautiful blue dress for $90. Mom was happy, Dad was happy, and Kayli was kind of happy. One of my best friends ever added sleeves to make it just perfect. On March 20th, they went to the prom and had a blast.

They went with a few of Brady's friends. This is one of the couples that met at Brady's house before the Promenade. Jordan Gerfen took Alli Ewing. I love her dress (Kayli said because it cost $400). Don't forget next year Kay - you can borrow it instead of buying a new one!

CONGRATULATIONS Kayli!

At the end of last trimester, it ended Kayli's first year cheering for Box Elder High School. At the end of March, they held try-outs for the upcoming year. Happy Day - she made it again. She is very excited - AGAIN! She feels that the team is a really good one. She is looking forward to being the Historian Captain and is excited to be doing it with Natalie Jeppesen. We look forward to another great year doing cheer.

Kayli & Brady

I took Brady's family pictures and of course Kayli HAD to have pictures taken with Brady. Sandy said "they look like engagement pictures!" That was not the intent (I promise). Kayli and Brady have been dating for a few months. Brady definately brings alot of life to our house. He constantly makes us all laugh with his corkiness.

It was alot of fun to take these pictures - mainly because they were willing to do whatever I asked them to do. The bridge they are sitting on was the most unsafe bridge I have ever seen - it had tons of holes through the wood and then cover with snow. Kayli, I love you tons (especially your spunkiness)!

Bourne Family

This is one of the funnest families I have ever work with - alot of spunk and laughter was shared this day. Sandy wanted family pictures for Christmas. I have to say - they turned out AMAZING!

Fall Update

This has been a really long and hard fall and winter for me and the girls. We have had ups but many many downs. I have a couple of things that are great therapy for me: the first definately is work - I love working at The Peak. I work with some of the best people in the world (couldn't have made it this far without them) and second, I love taking pictures. Our cheer coach asked me to take pictures of her cute little family. She is an amazing wife, mom and best of all friend. These are just a few pics we took this last fall.

Thanks Brooke - you are the BEST! I love you and your cute little family.
